No. Every part of the game that is about firing a shell works with no signal and no sign-in, including today's field. Game Center is what carries the leaderboards, the badges and matches against other people, so those need an account and a connection — and playing signed out is a supported way to play the whole game.
The whole duel is inside the link, so nothing is downloaded and it works on a train. Bracket plays the match out from the first shot as a recording: you watch it rather than take part. Your own half-played match is left exactly where it was.
Links only do anything on an iPhone with Bracket installed. On anything else they are just text.
There is one attempt at it, and it is spent the moment the match begins rather than when it ends — otherwise closing the app during a bad match would be a way to take the shot back, and a ranging shot you cannot take back is the whole subject of the game. A new field arrives at midnight UTC.
If you have to put the phone down mid-match, that is fine: the day's match is carried on rather than lost.
Check that you are signed in to Game Center, in the Settings app under Game Center. The menu shows your alias when a sign-in has taken.
Then check what the match was. Only matches against the computer count, so a game against somebody sharing your phone, a turn-based match against another person, and any match on ground you chose in Practice all earn nothing at all.
Because two people sharing a phone can hand each other a win in ten seconds, and a leaderboard anyone can fill with a second thumb is not a leaderboard. The same goes for a match against an obliging friend online. It is a deliberate line rather than an oversight.
No. Carry on sits at the top of the menu, above everything else, and picks the match up on the turn you left it. There is one slot for this rather than a list, so starting a new match takes the place of the one you were in the middle of.
A bracket is a pair of statements about the distance between two tanks, so it stops being true the moment either tank stops being where it was. Craters have steeper walls than a hull can hold, so a near miss can take somebody's footing and slide them downhill.
Both of your shots are still good shots. The readout says THEY MOVED or YOU MOVED rather than quietly going back to OPEN so you know which of the two it was.
Three ways. Two players, one phone hands the device back and forth. Play someone on the menu finds an opponent through Game Center and plays a turn at a time, with a notification when it is your move. And any match can be sent to somebody as a link for them to watch.
Your record is kept on your device. There are no accounts of ours, no servers of ours, and the app makes no network calls of its own — there is nothing in it that reports what you do. If you are signed in to Game Center, Apple keeps its own copy of your scores and badges under your Apple Account, which is the same arrangement every Game Center title has. There are no ads and nothing to buy inside the game.
Deleting the app removes the record on the device. What Game Center holds is managed in the Settings app, under Game Center.
Bracket is an iPhone game and only that. It will install on an iPad and run at iPhone size, but it is drawn for a phone held in one hand, and it is not offered on Mac or Apple Vision Pro. It is a portrait game played with a drag and a stepper that answers through the haptics, and in a phone-shaped window on a desk two of those three are gone.
