That is a deslot: the car took a bend faster than its grip holds, and the guide blade jumped the slot. A marshal puts it back after a moment. Slide the throttle down before a bend, and remember that letting go of it brakes the car. Hairpins need far less speed than curves; banked curves hold more.
Each has one thing the throttle is for. Pulse charges cells when you lift off and spends them on Burst. Clamp's magnets hold it in bends but slow it on straights. Glide is the fastest and can catch one slide per bend if you lift the moment it slips. Arc surges the longer it stays flat out, until it overheats and limps. Weave can Hop to the other lane on any straight. Anvil can't be knocked off at a crossover and ploughs through sand. The garage says more about each one.
Win stars in the worlds: one for finishing an event, one for beating the rival, one for beating par. Worlds open at 3, 8, 14 and 20 stars, and each brings the car that suits it. Winning a world's cup earns its colour as a trim for your car.
The time a clean driver makes alone in your car on that event, so it is fair to every car. Beat it for the third star.
Tap the hexagon to open the builder. Pick a piece, and tap the ghost at the end of the track to lay it. Amber tiles show the way back to the start line, and "Close the loop" lays that way for you. Tap a laid tile to take the track up from there. Once the loop is closed, race it. The Hazards, Scenery and Ground tabs add ice, sand, heat and mag strips to the track, props to the free tiles, and a world's colours to the deck.
Race others, then Table. Seat up to four players, the computer, or nobody, lay the device flat between you, and each player drives from their own corner. A seat left alone for a few seconds is driven by the computer until its player touches the throttle again.
Both devices need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on, and Deslot needs permission to use the local network: iOS asks the first time you open Nearby, and you can change it in Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Network. One device opens a room with Nearby: host; the others find it with Nearby: join.
Online needs Game Center, signed in from Settings. The Circuit needs an iCloud account signed in on your device. Without them, everything else in the game works the same.
Tap the menu on the deck and choose Report, with a reason, or Block. A report comes to us with which deck and why. Blocking hides that deck and its ghost from you straight away, on this device.
In Race others, open The Circuit and tap Take it off the Circuit under your deck. It is deleted at once, with its ghost. Your deck in the game is not touched.
Names pass a word filter before anyone else sees them. If yours didn't, others see "Racer" instead, and Race others says so under the name. Choose another name there.
The Ring/Silent switch silences the game. Its sound plays alongside your own music rather than stopping it.
Deslot is one app for iPhone and iPad; the Table is best on an iPad. It is not offered on the Mac or on Apple Vision Pro.
The Circuit is shared by everyone who plays Deslot, of every age. Publishing a deck means agreeing to these rules. They cover everything other players can read: the name you race under, on the Circuit and in Nearby and Online lobbies.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content on the Circuit. A word filter checks every name before it is shown, but a filter misses things, so every deck can be reported. We read the reports, and anything that breaks these rules is taken down, without warning. A player who breaks them repeatedly can be removed from the Circuit.
If something is broken, tell us what device you are on, what you were doing, and what happened. A screenshot helps. For anything about the Circuit, include the name you race under.
Questions, bugs, or something on the Circuit that should not be there?
