About
What Sharp does
Sharp is an iPhone and iPad app for photographs shot more than once. Shoot the same scene several times, and Sharp puts the frames together into one picture.
A lens holds one plane in focus. Noise is different in every frame and the subject is not. A person walking through a square is in one frame out of twelve. Each of those is the same problem: shoot it more than once, and decide, pixel by pixel, what to keep.
- Focus: a stack that is sharp from front to back
- Clean: noise averaged away, and long-exposure water without a filter
- Vanish: the people walk out of the picture
- Trails: every place the light went, for night skies and light painting
- Blend: an exposure bracket into one picture; Pick: the sharpest frame of a burst
- Camera RAW, HEIC, JPEG, TIFF and PNG, with alignment for hand-held sets and a brush to paint any frame back
